Divertimento in D major KV.136
This is one of the most famous Divertimento composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). It was written in Salzburg when he was 15 years old. It is sometimes calls as Salzburg Symphony No.1. It consists of three movements;
I. Allegro,
II. Andante,
III. Presto.
The music is very simple but so bright. Only listening the first bar which consists of first violin's semibreve and accompaniment with quavers, audiences will be excited.

This divertimento was written in Salzburg when he was 15 years old. It is sometimes calls as Salzburg Symphony No.2. It consists of three movements;

III. Allegro assai.
This piece is not so famous as the other two (KV.136 & 138), however, this is, of course, very nice.

12 Variations in C major KV265(300e) on the theme of "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman"

This lovely piece was composed around 1781 in Paris. The theme "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" is a French folk song which was very popular in Paris at that time. The title is the first phrase of the lyrics and dose not summarize the story. It is a love song. Nowadays, the other lyrics "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" is very popular, however, I appeared after Wozart's death.

Duo in G major for Violin & Viola No.1 KV423
Mozart composed two Duos for violin and viola, No.1 in G major, KV423, and No.2 in Bb major, KV424. The close friendship between Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) and Mozart is very famous. Mozart was very close to also Joseph's younger brother, Michael Haydn (1737-1806).
In 1783, Michael Haydn was ill and incapacitated to compose two Duos for violin and viola. He had finished four duos to order for the archbishop of Salzburg, however he the order was six. Mozart composed two inspired duos, KV423 and KV424, to save Michael Haydn.

Number. 1 (KV423) consists of the following three movements,
I. Allegro,
II. Adagio,
III. Rondeau: Allegro.

Duo in Bb major for Violin & Viola No.2 KV424

Fantasia in C minor KV.475 for Piano solo was composed for Mozart's first student, Maria Theresia von Trattner. This piece is very unique among his piano works. It is a kind of improvisation with a lot of freedom, but has exquisite balance.
In this arrangement for string quartet, the original notes were conserved as faithful as possible and all kinds of efforts for reducing technical-difficulty level were made. Still, it is not easy to play.

Canon 'Ave Maria' KV.554
The original was a canon written for four voices. It is probably not so famous as Ave verum corpus, KV.618, but is beautiful and enjoyable to construct canon by four players. The arranger exchanged the first and the second voice parts in the second chorus.

The original is a famous lied composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1759-1791) in his last year. This piece was written for children. The melody resembles the theme of his last piano concert No.27 KV.595 third movement, however, the impressions are different. The text was by Christian Adolf Overbeck (1755-1821).

Ave verum corpus, KV.618, was composed for the parish of Baden in the year Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart died. It is a very small piece, however, is one of the most popular choral music in the world. The original was for mixed chorus, string, and organ.
